1 〈 feel like S ＋ V〉「Sが…するような気がする」（この likeは接続詞）
a. I feel like I havenʼt seen you for a long time.
b. I felt like all my American friends were always showered with elaborate compliments every day.

2 every time ...「…するたびに」（＝ whenever ...）
a. My aunt says the same thing every time I come to see her.
b. Every time my friend took home her report card, she would get encouraging comments from her parents.
3 2 つの事柄を対比する表現：in contrast，meanwhile，on the other hand
a. In contrast, my parents would always say, “You should have studied harder.”
b. My friend would become eager to study harder, feeling excited about her next exam. Meanwhile, I would study to fulfill a sense of obligation to succeed.
