*Adaptive Learning is a personalized teaching and learning method whereby the teacher, school or educational company is able to select and provide the most appropriate content for each student according to his/her comprehension level or personal needs.
Founded in 2008, Knewton is a world-leading adaptive learning company, providing world-class technology for some 10 million learners and teachers around the world; their highly-tailored learning contents numbers some 15 billion. (Headquarters: Sunto-gun, Shizuoka, Japan; CEO: Takaaki Fujii), Zoshinkai Publishers Inc. provides educational services for students through a wide range of channels, including correspondence courses, cram schools, publishing, testing, the marketing of mock test and educational materials for schools, and ICT-based services. Zoshinkai also provides educational content to university students and adult learners through its second-tier subsidiary, Z-kai CA Inc. (Headquarters: Mishima-shi, Shizuoka; CEO: Hiroyuki Suda).
This partnership will enable the Z-kai Group to use Knewton’s adaptive learning engine to provide excellent educational materials adapted to the individual student’s needs dependent on their comprehension level, at the right time and in the right format.
The Z-kai Group’s original analysis of algorithms based on the wealth of learning data we have accumulated will help in understanding the needs of each student, making it possible to customize the learning content in real time, to improve students’ achievements in the most effective way and increase the effectiveness of their learning efforts.
